The main ingredient of the drug is sildenafil citrate. It is a class 5 phosphodiesterase (PDE5) inhibitor. PDE5 inhibitors increase the amount of cyclic guanosine monophosphate (cGMP) and nitric oxide making tissues and muscles around the pelvic area relaxed. As blood vessels expand easily as a result of the relaxed tissues, they help you maintain a firm erection by pumping a sufficient amount of blood to the penis.
